Sandeep Kalani

Sandeep Kalani ALS patient
Age at time of treatment: 41 years old
Illness: ALS
Country of Residence: India
Hospital: Intervention Hospital of Shandong Red Cross Society
Date of Treatment: May, 2009

My Story:

In 2007, Sandeep displayed a weakness in his extremities along with a change in his walk. As the disease progressed, his limbs became powerless. He was unable to stand up or walk, and showed more weakness on his left side than his right. Sandeep also suffered from headaches and dizziness. He arrived at Shandong Neural Stem Cell Clinic for treatment, and was diagnosed with motor neuron disease, or Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).

Sandeep Kalani received four injections of neural stem cells delivered via lumbar puncture (spinal injection) along with traditional Chinese drugs, rehabilitation exercises, and acupuncture.

Sandeep showed continued improvements in his treatment. After two neural stem cell treatments, he felt power in his limbs. He was able to climb stairs slowly, without assistance. His walking and coordination improved daily. He was able to take a short walk out of the hospital with his wife. In the days before treatment, he experienced great difficulty walking in his own house.
